Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, medically known as rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to improve the shape, size, or function of the nose. In addition to aesthetic concerns, rhinoplasty can also be performed to correct breathing problems, balancing facial proportions and providing a more harmonious and natural appearance.
At Healthtur Global, we perform rhinoplasty with personalized planning, advanced technology, and our expert team of plastic surgeons, offering satisfying results both aesthetically and functionally. Our goal is to create the most suitable nose shape for your facial features, achieving a natural and balanced look.
Who is a Suitable Candidate for Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is a suitable procedure for many people who are dissatisfied with the appearance of their nose or who experience functional problems. It is generally preferred in the following cases:
- – Those with a hump, curvature, or asymmetry in the nose
- – Individuals with a low or wide nasal tip
- – Those with large or disproportionate nostrils
- – Those experiencing breathing problems (septum deviation)
- – Those with nasal deformities due to trauma or congenital deformities
- – Those who want a nose that is more harmonious with their facial features
At Healthtur Global, thanks to the detailed facial analysis and doctor’s examination performed before the procedure, the person’s nasal structure, skin thickness, and expectations are evaluated. Thus, the most suitable rhinoplasty plan is created.
How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
Rhinoplasty is a safe and comfortable surgical procedure, usually performed under general anesthesia. The operation time varies between 2-4 hours on average, depending on the scope of the procedure. Rhinoplasty is basically performed using two different techniques:
Theoretical
Open Rhinoplasty
This technique is performed by making a small incision in the lower part of the nose. It provides the surgeon with a wider field of view and is preferred especially in advanced corrections.
Closed Rhinoplasty
This technique involves making all incisions inside the nose. There are no external scars, and the healing process is generally faster.
During the operation, the nasal bone and cartilage structure are shaped, the hump is filed down if necessary, and the nasal tip is lifted or narrowed. In patients with breathing problems, septoplasty can also be performed in the same session.
Healthtur Global offers successful results in rhinoplasty operations with natural nose design and aesthetic planning that suits facial proportions.
Advantages
Rhinoplasty provide many advantages, both aesthetically and functionally:
- – A natural nose appearance in harmony with facial features
- – Elimination of breathing problems
- – Increased self-confidence
- – Balance and aesthetic integrity in facial expression
- – Permanent and long-lasting results
Thanks to these advantages, rhinoplasty has become one of the most preferred aesthetic surgical operations worldwide.
Post-operative Process
The recovery process after rhinoplasty varies from person to person, but is generally comfortable. Mild swelling, bruising, and nasal congestion may occur in the first few days after surgery. The splint placed on the nose is usually removed after 5-7 days.
Bruising largely disappears within the first 1-2 weeks. It may take 6-12 months for the swelling in the nose to completely subside and for the final result to become apparent. During this process, the shape of the nose gradually takes on a more natural appearance.
Healthtur Global supports its patients at every stage of the process with post-operative check-ups and care instructions.
Is Rhinoplasty Permanent?
Yes, rhinoplasty is a permanent solution. The new nose shape created by the surgery is maintained for many years. However, aging, trauma, or significant weight changes may lead to minimal changes in the shape of the nose over time.
